Objectives

At the end of this course, you will be capable to carry out the following tasks: to plan a structure for safety of the network; to identify the threats weighing on the safety of the network; to analyze the risks of safety; to conceive a safety for the physical resources; to conceive a safety for the computers; to conceive a safety for the accounts; to conceive a safety for the authentification; to conceive a safety for the data; to conceive a safety for the transmission of the data; to conceive a safety for the perimeters of the networks; to conceive a procedure of response to the incidents. This course comprises, moreover, three appendices being able to be the subject of a presentation on behalf of the instructor. These appendices cover following subjects: Design of a strategy of the good Design use of strategies of management of the networks Design of an operational structure for the security management.

This course prepares with certification Microsoft MCP 70-298

Modulate 1
Presentation of the design of safety
This module describes the basic structure used for the design of the safety of the networks and presents the key concepts used in this course. It also presents a case study which will be used throughout course, in practical work.
Modulate 2
Creation of a plan for the safety of the network
This module treats importance of the strategies and procedures of safety in a design of safety. It also explains why a team of design of safety must include/understand members representing the various stations of your organization. At the end of this module, you will be capable to use a structure of design of safety and to implement a team of design of safety.
Modulate 3
Identification of the threats weighing on the safety of the network
This module explains how to identify the potential threats which weigh on a network, as well as the motivations of the intruders. At the end of this module, you will be capable to explain the current threats and to envisage the threats using a model of threat.
Modulate 4
Analyze risks of safety
This module explains how to determine the resources, within an organization, which require a protection and how to classify them to determine their suitable level of protection. At the end of this module, you will be capable to apply a structure of planning of the risk management.
Modulate 5
Creation of a design of safety for the physical resources
This module describes the threats and risks weighing on the physical resources of an organization and explains how to make safe the buildings, the computers and the material. At the end of this module, you will be capable to conceive the safety of the physical resources.
Modulate 6
Creation of a design of safety for the computers
This module explains how to determine the threats and to analyze the risks weighing on the computers of your network. At the end of this module, you will be capable to conceive safety for the computers.
Modulate 7
Creation of a design of safety for the accounts
This module describes the threats and the risks weighing on the accounts of an organization. At the end of this module, you will be capable to conceive safety for the accounts.
Modulate 8
Creation of a design of safety for the authentification
This module describes the threats and the risks weighing on the authentification. At the end of this module, you will be capable to conceive safety for the authentification.
Modulate 9
Creation of a design of safety for the data
This module describes the threats and the risks weighing on the data. At the end of this module, you will be capable to conceive safety for the data.
Modulate 10
Creation of a design of safety for the transmission of the data
This module describes the threats and the risks weighing on the transmission of the data. At the end of this module, you will be capable to conceive safety for the transmission of the data.
Modulate 11
Creation of a design of safety for the perimeters of the network
This module describes the threats weighing on the points to which your network is connected to other networks, like Internet. At the end of this module, you will be capable to conceive safety for the perimeters of the network.
Modulate 12
Design of answers to the incidents of safety
This module provides information on the audit and the creation of procedures intended to help you in the design of answers to the incidents of safety. At the end of this practical work, you will be capable to conceive a strategy of audit and procedures of response to the incidents.
Appendices
Creation of a design of safety for the computers
Appendix A: Design of a strategy of the good use This appendix provides information on the creation of strategies intended to check that the users use the resources network in an acceptable way.
Appendix B: Design of strategies for the management of the networks This appendix contains instructions making it possible to ensure a protected management of the network by the administrators.
Appendix C: Design of an operational structure for the security management This appendix explains how to create a structure making it possible to ensure the safety of a network when modifications are made there and as the needs for the organization as regards safety evolve/move.
